“No lab dips need to be sent”

Today we would like to acknowledge a longtime CAP (Color Certification Program) supplier that has certified 5 of their sites: PT Kahatex. Three sites were CAP certified for the first time this year, and two completed their annual re-certifications.

The natific CAP is a globally recognized program that qualifies and empowers suppliers towards excellence, efficiency, and sustainability. natific auditors with years of experience visit mills on site to perform certifications and training. 3 years after the initial certification, annual reCAPs are performed.

Since CAP is not brand-specific, it is valid across all participating brands, elevating color quality throughout the textile industry. In addition to many longtime participants, we are adding more brands every year.

Those certified benefit from accelerated processes, reduced costs, increased quality. A CAP mill using natific software (ASAP and/or ColorWarehouse) can minimize or eliminate the need to dye and ship samples.

PT Kahatex (Indonesia) is one of the largest textile suppliers in the world. They first joined CAP because of a brand requirement. After meeting with natific, they learned about the certification and its benefits, then quickly got started with the process.

Gopal Krishna Ram, the Marketing Advisor at PT Kahatex, was kind enough to offer some insight into the process and benefits they have seen.

One motivation to add more CAP sites was to get the proper training and efficiencies in place for the production team.

Regarding their most recent certifications, Mr. Ram said, “Our team did a great job and we had great help from all the auditors from natific. They not only helped team to learn but also gave them lots of input as to how they need to proceed in checking and matching colors.”

While there is some paper work and documentation to be completed in advance of the on-site visit, we utilize our eLearning platform to gather preliminary details and perform certain colorist evaluations. It also houses our software training programs.

Not only does the certification please their customers, it saves PT Kahatex both time and money. “No lab dip needs to be sent (unless requested by a specific brand/vendor). If more brands agree to this it will definitely help the Tier 2 suppliers to save lot of time and money.”

Finally, we asked Mr. Ram why other mills should become accredited by natific:

"Whether big or small, each mill will definitely be happy and efficient if they are able to match color at the first time and this is possible once we interact and follow natific requirements. Production teams want that their uploads have zero rejections and hence they put effort into making sure this happens."
