Hundreds of the world’s leading dyes houses choose natific’s Color Accreditation Program (CAP) to cut out the common process of lab dip submission and to achieve straight to production privileges. natific randomly selects a mill within the CAP program to feature with a short interview. We also take this opportunity to welcome new and returning clients.
LEARN WHY THIS MILL IN CHINA ENCOURAGE ALL THEIR BRAND CUSTOMERS TO JOIN NATIFIC’S CAP PROGRAM
The mill Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing have a dyeing and finishing facility in Zhejiang Province, China. After their first on-site color accreditation by natific in 2015, the management at the mill would like to encourage all their brands and retailers to join the CAP program. Let’s hear what they say.
“Most important for us is to save time in our fabric production
execution. It would be beneficial if all our brand and retail
customers joined natific’s Color Accreditation Program, to be
able to carry out an efficient color process for them too.”

natific: How did you first hear about the CAP program and what were your initial thoughts?
Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing: We heard about the CAP program from our buying customer Under Armour and decided to became a member last year, 2015.
natific: What are your thoughts about the program?
Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing: The CAP is professional, convenient and systematic. It is very effective for our production and significantly shortens the color development and color production lead-time.
natific: What is your favorite experience with the CAP?
Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing: The most important benefit for us as a member of the CAP program is the time saving. As a CAP mill we do not need to send lab-dips to Under Amour’s buyers for their approval. Instead, we are trained to self-approve according to their color and quality standards and only need to provide them with digital color data.
This save around 4-5 days in our color development. It also saves the courier cost when we do not need to send lab dips back and forth.
It’s the same for our bulk production. Before we joined the CAP, we could only arrange the production for the first dye lot and then send a first of production submission to our customer’s buyer for their color approval. Only after we received the approval, we could proceed with further production. This procedure added an additional 4-5 days, time that we now save.
The old way not only wasted time, but the process was also very inconsistent. Now, with the CAP, we are trained to correct and self-approve the colors instead of waiting for Under Armour’s approval. This means that our production planning is much more efficient and cannot be interrupted like before.
“There are sustainable benefits too,
for example it helps us to save energy.”
/ Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing, China
Today, we only work with Under Armour within the CAP program. If all our brand and retail customers joined the program, we would be able to carry out this more efficient color process for them too.
natific: natific’s on-line system ColorWarehouse is used within the CAP program, do you also use ColorWarehouse internally to monitor your production?
Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing: We use ColorWarehouse to check and confirm the accuracy and precision of our colors.
natific: Master Digital Standards (MDS, also called qtx-files) are used within the CAP program, what is your opinion about that?
Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing: Using digital color standards makes it simpler for our mill. It is much easier for us to meet and adjust a color when we get a Master Digital Standard from our customers.
natific: What is your advice to mills that are considering joining the CAP program?
Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing: If a mill becomes a member of CAP, the mill will become more professional and effective, and will get more trust from buyers.
Thank you Zhejiang Charming Dyeing & Finishing for sharing your experience and benefits of being a CAP certified mill.

ABOUT THE CAP
The CAP has evolved to be the most comprehensive color accreditation program globally. The program is designed to evaluate the maturity and capability of a mill, determining if a mill will be able to produce any given color to a specific tolerance.
It is intended to assess, educate and help mills move towards best practice through production analysis and expert recommendations.
The ColorWarehouse system used within the CAP program allows mills to analyze production data based on color, fabric and dyeing machine. ColorWarehouse provides mills, vendors and retailers/brands with insight into the mills daily production.
